WHY WE EXIST

We exist for a ton of many different reasons. We would like to share a few with you below. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us. Thanks so much!

We feel that God has a very specific plan for us. We do our very best to follow that plan as closely as possible. We feel that if we follow the Lord's plan for us that he will bless us beyond our imaginations. 

  • Reach the lost and broken 

  • We exist to worship our Lord. We have a Father in heaven who looks out for us 24/7/365. We want to do our part to give back. 

  • Serve in our local communities. Just about every community has people who needs help. We exist to reach those people.

  • We exist to bring hope and love to the people in our area. We want them to know that they are not alone and someone out there wants to help.

  • We exist to grow the church. We understand we are a part of a larger body. We want to do our part to grow the Kingdom of God.

VISION

The Vision of Open Word Christian Ministries is to open the Word of God to every receptive being and bring mankind to a clear understanding of their relationship with God.  We are vested in building lives from a Godly perspective for empowered living in the areas of Family, Finance and Purpose.  Through Education, Transformation and Application, we utilize our resources to: Build, Establish and Deploy Disciples within their communities.

OUR HISTORY

1991 - Opened our doors for the first time

In 1991 Open Word Christian Ministries opened its doors for the first time. Starting with a humble congregation of just 10 we were happy to get started with such an amazing group of people.

2002 - Added larger sancturary

In 2002 Open Word Christian Ministires built a new sancturary.  With our congregation out growing the two services we were holding in the old office complex, the choice was made to build a new more accomodating facility on 24 acres of land we purchased in 1997.  Our first phase constructed the sanctuary that seats 700+.  In 2007 we finished construction on the rear section of the church which houses our class and meeting rooms.
